Self-Care Ideas For Spring (To Revitalize Your Mind and Body)

Spring is finally here, and it's time for me to put a little pep in my step!

It's amazing how the warm sun and the scent of blooming flowers can make us feel alive.

Now, I'm no expert, but I've learned that taking care of myself is critical for my well-being.

(It's like they say, you can't pour from an empty cup!)

So, I've come up with a list of my favorite self-care tips just in time for spring.

These ideas have helped me feel centered, refreshed, and ready to tackle anything that comes my way.

From nutritious foods to a new workout routine, I've got you covered.

So, whether you're a young chick or a seasoned hen like me, it's time to prioritize your self-care routine.

(Because trust me, when you feel good, everything around you feels good too!)

Get Outside and Get Moving

I find that one of the best ways to practice self-care in the spring is by getting outside and getting moving.

After a long and dreary winter spent indoors, there's nothing quite like feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin and breathing in the fresh air.

Here are some ideas for how to get outside and get active:

Take a daily walk or bike ride in nature

Now, I know what you're thinking. “I'm not exactly a spring chicken anymore, how can I go for a walk or bike ride?”

Well, let me tell you, age is just a number!

Taking a stroll or biking through nature is one of my favorite ways to get moving and clear my mind.

There's nothing like feeling the warm sun on your skin and taking in the beauty of the outdoors.

Plus, it's a great way to get some much-needed Vitamin D!

Don't worry about the distance or the speed, just enjoy the journey.

Maybe even take a friend or a furry companion along with you for some company.

(And let's be real, they could probably use the exercise too!)

Mix things up and try a new route or explore a new park or trail.

You never know what hidden gems you might find.

Try a new outdoor workout routine

Who says you have to be stuck inside a gym to get a good workout in?

It's time to take advantage of the beautiful weather and try something new!

I'm all about mixing up my exercise routine, and spring is the perfect time to do so.

Consider signing up for an outdoor yoga or pilates class. or even exercise inside your car. if you are a person who is always on the go.

Not only will you get a great workout in, but being outside in the fresh air can do wonders for your mental health too.

Just be sure to wear comfortable clothes and proper shoes, and don't forget your sunscreen!

Now, I know trying something new can be intimidating, but just think of it as an adventure.

Who knows, you might just discover a new hobby or passion.

Plus, it's a great way to meet new people and make some new friends.

(And at our age, it can be tough to make new friends, am I right?)

Personally, I've found that writing my habits for self care in my bullet journal helps me to stay motivated and accountable.

By tracking my daily walks, It's so satisfying to see all those steps adding up!

I like to note the date, distance, and any observations or thoughts that come up during my walk.

This helps me to be more present during my walks and appreciate the beauty of the natural world around me.

It's time to lace up your sneakers, grab your favorite water bottle, and soak up some of nature's goodness!

By incorporating outdoor activities especially into your morning routines, you're opening yourself up to a world of benefits that only mother nature can provide.

(Get outside and let the fresh air stimulate your spirit!)
